HOW TO JOINT THE ENDs OF YARN TOGETHER?

8/2/2014

How about the upper part of the T-shirt?
Don't throw it away, keep it for the small projects. Last time we shared with you how to make you own T-shirt with no seams (continuous T-shirt yarn).  This time we would like to share with you how to join the end of T-shirt yarn together.  Therefore you don't need to throw away the top part of the T-shirt.

Before I share with you how to join the T-shirt yarn together, no matter which option you choose,
Cut all the seams away
Discard them, we are going to use the sleeves and the chest sections.
Cut them in strips, 1 inch wide
(you don't need to leave a space at the top as the continuous yarn, just cut all the way down)
Option 1 - Joint them as a normal yarn
Joint the strips by knitting or crocheting together as you would normally do when you are adding a new yarn.
(For myself, I prefer to use option 1.)

Option 2 - Knot it

Hold the ends of two strips together and tie them into a knot to form one long yarn.

Option 3 - Stitch it

Overlap the ends of the strips and stitch them together.

Option 4 - Slit and Slip

1.  Cut a small slit on each end,

2.  Insert one strip through the slit. Secure the end by inserting the loose end through the slit,

3.  Pull it tight
HINTS:
Use the continuous yarn for the large project.
Use the Joint yarn for the small project.

Oh.....Try this method with the unused pillow case and bed sheets. you will love it.
I m going to start my small T-shirt yarn project now.

Enjoy!

I will show you more about my T-shirt yarn projects next time. ^ ^
